There was a time when Martin might have worked

But that time is not now, and it is not with this squad. He's far too evangelical about his football and with this squad it would be a replay of his tenure at Rangers. Trying to get a team to do something they are simply incapable of.

We need somebody with pragmatism and flexibility, but most importantly somebody who is going to create a vision the team can enrol in. A story about what we're trying to do here. Not some self help book dribbling on about behaviours, processes and ownership.
