It’s a meaningless statement in an annual report

The annual report takes months to pull together, this statement will have been written ages ago and then edited a bit near to publication.

Don’t worry about it.

Like always with these things, the public message will be very much a consistent one of solidarity, regardless of what’s going on behind the scenes.
