You seem to be forgetting

that Mark Attanasio has stated quite clearly that relegation is NOT an option. I personally believe that our current situation will force him to have a major clearout of executive and management staff sooner rather than later while the January transfer window will provide the urgent opportunity for proven Championship players to be brought in to hopefully enable immediate improvement in performances on the pitch. Yes, this will be hugely expensive but MA has indicated he will do whatever is necessary to change things around.
