Possible role model for MA here?

Another American owner, Kroenke, at Arsenal.

Appointed Arteta in December 2019. Then, after having the rest of that season and a whole preseason, Arteta proceded to have a horrendous first full season and by the end of November he'd led Arsenal to their worst league start in 39 years, including a run of 2 goals in 8 league games. They eventually finished 8th and failed to qualify for European competition for the first time in 25 years (probably the equivalent of relegation for a club of Arsenal's size). Probably 90% (at least) of clubs would have changed managers then but Kroenke stuck with Arteta, believing that once he'd got in players who could do the jobs he wanted in his preferred style of play things would get better. And here we are today...

Worth noting though that while he stuck with the manager he did sack the Sporting Director!
