But I think he knows that he'll lose a lot of hearts and minds if it happens. I also think he knows that he himself (and NH collectively) don't have the expertise to appoint the right successors to Knapper/Manning.
I wouldn't be surprised if he now takes external advice on this (if he hasn't already), so he has his ducks in a row if on-field results don't improve.
