I used to believe xG was a useful metric

It's not....

Does a high xG and low score tell you:

1) Your strikers are s**t
2) You're unlucky
3) The opposition played great
4) The underlying data that creates in value is wrong

Could be any or all of them

Made up stat for pseuds, unless you're playing FIFA.
