The 2000-2002 boost in numbers and ST allocation

That’s what happened last time we enlarged the stadium. We didn’t actually *need* to, numbers had been stagnant for ages around 14000 to 18000. But because we did, it lifted the atmosphere, the team improved and we went up. The stadium was full, ST needed to be capped, supporters worried about missing out, carried on renewing. Then we even went down to L1 and kept the fans, as by and large, things were more positive in those days. Then came the yo-yo years.

But then Covid (and to a lesser extent, Brexit) and the positivism is history. I think we’ll have more good times, but it might be a while.
