I know we've gone rosy tinted on the Delia and Michael era as well, but some of this decision making (or lack of) coincided with them getting weary too, and they were certainly in thrall to the Webbers (not an opinion, well-documented). That's meant that what we saw as better times, were also the end of those better times, and that money gulf was too wide for anything similar to continue.

Have we found the right owners - so far, no evidence that they're right or wrong but they're certainly needing to show some strength, and not just throwing money at Eastern Europe, soon.
