England are already being soporifically patient and still fail to retain possession to any meaningful extent. Beckham is trying to play killer balls because that's all he ever seems to do these days - he's given up all pretence of being a right winger.

Rooney is gradually getting back into the swing of things, but being asked to chase down long balls all game is a waste of his talents.

We might just beat Portugal with their injuries and suspensions, but have England got three good performances in them? Give them another 20 games ...
