Why on earth did Sven not take Beckham off earlier?

He'd scored the goal, silenced the critics for a while, was clearly very ill, yet sven takes off Cole and puts Carragher on. Are the midfield trio of Lampard, Beckham and Gerrard that untouchable. Afterally Lampard was just rubbish today (seriously thinking hargreaves should play instead), Beckham was quiet apart from the goal and set pieces. Gerrard looked half decent and probably would have looked better if frank hadn't been on the pitch.

Overall job done and we controlled possession quite well in some parts of the game but as the opposition get better we will get stuffed if we don't improve.

I was watching ESPN and even with their limited knowledge of the game said that Beckham should have been 'withdrawn' 10 mins earlier than he was
