Current team vs Farke’s first season (we finished 14th?)

In 2017, the typical team included:

Gunn - voted player of the season that year, IIRC
Pinto - no worse than Stacey
Lewis (when he played) - certainly better than Schlupp
Hanley / Zimmermann - as good as Darling / Medic imo
Maddison and Wes - no contest
Leitner / Vrancic / Murphy / Reed / Tettey - all better than what we have now, by a stretch
Jerome / Oliveira - Sargent might be as good, but better? If so, the deficit from the rest of the squad is insurmountable.

And that squad was put together on peanuts.
