Yes I agree almost entirely with you.

There's a world in which they keep Knapper but he is absolutely in the last chance saloon and he'd be given no more extra money until a new manager proves his current crop aren't the dross they seem to be.

It's a total shambles though and I'd have rid of both and would have binned them after West Brom.
