The Cobbold stand...

...benefits from the same positional security as the away end in the South Stand. Fans walk from both stations and are easily funnelled into the away ends. Both areas are perfect to control a large number coming down to the stadium(s)

When the away end moves to the river end what course are the 2000 escorted fans going to take to get to the lower river end?

Unless they create some sort of supporter highway through the south stand car park and down Geoffrey whaling way they will be required to walk either at the back of the South stand OR Barclay.

Obviously football clubs have football fans walking around EVERYWHERE outside but in big tense matches segregation is going to be a different challenge.

The list of reasons to rethink the decision is long but money.talks.
