I wonder if he or anyone advising him quite appreciates

What a s**t show a championship relegation fight is, and what lies just the other side of it.

Because if he doesn't, and thinks this is just something he can address in a few months when the baseball season is over, then...

I'm sure he knows we're underperforming and maybe even why, but does he get the urgency of sorting it out?
