I think the criticism of Kenny is very harsh

Naturally, he's a box-to-box / attacking midfielder, yet for some reason, since Wagner was here he's been forced to try and play the role of Pirlo / Modric

Thinking back to the Farke era, he was not one of technical players. Goodness knows why managers now expect that of him.

Him looking poor playing a role he isn't really that well suited to shouldn't be a massive surprise. It's a failure in the recruitment department.
