I feel I am in a minority but I saw a lot to like yesterday

First thing to say is that Ipswich will finish top 6 possibly top 2.The idea that they are crap is a joke. They have some excellent players and a deep squad. If they'd upgraded Hirst they'd probably walk the league. If anyone wants to take a charity 10 quid bet against that then please let me know.

So that taken into account I thought the first half was as good as we've played all season. The press worked well and we caused them problems and won the ball back high on a number of occasions. We just didn't use it well. Oscar is improving all the time and I thought the 433 was a good shape for the players we have. Matesson is great. Stacey was able to get into dangerous positions. We actually kept possion well for periods.

A couple of errors undid us for the goals but the 2nd was also a worldy. Even in the 2nd half we were well in the game until the 3rd when our heads dropped.

That's not to say everything is a bed of roses. We have a very inexperienced team, plus injuries plus a manager trying to find a formula that works. But WBA and yesterday point to some progress, despite the actual results.

So I actually think that we will start picking up more points in the next block and things will begin to look a bit more rosy.
