My current evening audiobook is Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid

about his childhood in Des Moines in the late 50s, read by the man himself, very soothing voice before sleep.

And of course he lived in an old rectory in Norfolk for a while and used it as a framing device for one of his books.

In the movie of his life (A walk in the woods) he was played by Robert Redford.
