doing so because a Top of the Pops producer insisted they stay for another day of taping, which meant they missed their planned flight on the night the plane was bombed over Lockerbie, Scotland. Duke Fakir, the last surviving original member, stated the producer refused to let them record two segments in one session, a decision that ultimately saved their lives.
