Its not definite yet, but he appears to have 1 approach to playing football in terms of formation and tactics. The squad he has available seems irrelevant to his caluclations.
Thats fine if you can buy whoever you want (tho even Amorim struggling), but we cant. You need a manager who sits down and works out what is possible, then designs tactics around it. AKA Farke, for example, who developed things as we got more players he wanted.
This is turd really. It is also showing signs of being driven by stats, and principally physical stats at that. There is now player in our squad who can make a gorgeous pass and take players out f the game.
Its not fun to watch, but its also totally ineffectual.
Manning's in-game subs are a metaphor for how he does football as a whole. Pre-determined subs personnel subs, pre-determined times, zero imagination.
It's s**t, and we will need to just bully teams with physicality to survive i fear.
