It’s just a shame that the definition of “debate” seems to be rather loose, if not, by this point, thoroughly debased.

I’ve had a quite pleasant last few days looking back at old posts, mainly to see if things were better in days gone by. Fuck me, yes they were. Of course there were some regrettable exchanges and there have always been some posters who don’t get along, for whatever reason. But generally speaking the tone was always civil. Well, mostly. And there was humour.

Personally I do find it hard to be friends with someone with whom I fundamentally disagree, but that’s not that unusual, I’m sure. If you have beliefs, you should stand up for them.

But you don’t have to be a c**t.
