it was indeed

the stage was surrounded by three "stands" made up of berms of sand piled up by royal engineer's bulldozers. i recall being stood at the top of one watching as the mayhem unfolded below me.

they had parked two AS90 artillery pieces at each side of the stage and lads were on top of them knocking absolute lumps out of each other. an officer in charge of the event eventually came on the mic and pleaded for any medical trained personnel to come to the stage to provide assistance.
