Plenty of countries have a high number of guns per person - though not quite at U.S. levels-yet they don’t see nearly as much gun violence.
At the same time, there are countries with higher homicide rates than the U.S. that aren’t driven by widespread gun ownership.
Personally, I’m not in favor of it. But I’m not American, and their culture and history around guns are very different.
Add to that we've had 12 years of Democrat Presidents to do something about it since the turn of the century.
