I’m a bit behind on the order of things as it seemed to come from nowhere.

In essence did his camp first speak to them last summer to try and get a PL move? Apart from being thick as pig s**t I do not understand from his point of view the timing of the move now? Why not go anyway on a free and also bank a huge signing on fee (even at Ipswich)?

Was he not that well integrated in the squad? Something else?
