It was quite therapeutic and would get me out of umpiring duties! It could get a bit frantic when there was a BattingCollapse and you ended up being two balls behind the play.
I had a scorebook too. I would make games up. I did start to properly score a Biss Cup final game once -up at Brundalls- but after a few overs I realised there was more fun to be had elsewhere.
