Manning said this yesterday at that forum

1. Ipswich paid an excessive fee, more than Núñez is worth, because of the expected fan outrage.

2. Manning said that contractually you can’t just “stick him in the u23s” - the PFA have negotiated ways to block that. Was news to me if true.

3. Contra what Onel is saying manning was damning about Núñez’s professionalism & laid it on pretty thick about not wanting him around

4. The pretense that it’s not a done deal yet was nowhere to be seen and fair play to manning for not hiding behind the fact that it’s not technically official yet.
