rightly or wrongly the perception is that other forces were at work stopping the men commiting the crimes being investigated and all the blame being put on the girls , all for the sake of racial harmony , something that has not been suggested for other racial groups (white men)

this why a national inquiry was needed and both labour and tory governments reluctance to order one only adds to the suspicion
