I agree with you that the majority are economic migrants but

ersonally I don't see that as much different from those seeking political asylum. If someone is fleeing hunger, destitution, or a collapsing economy, it can feel just as much a matter of survival as escaping political persecution or war. If I was in their situation I'd probably do the same thing.
