They are praising him for correcting his own mistakes, whereas i think hes been deliberately allowing these big characters to play and then to fail.
He's actually been very bold in coming out publically then dropping them after 1 league game. If anything it might be too soon but he's understanding that he cannot wait as it is his head on the line.
But he also knew that if he came in and dropped eg captain Tavernier from the first game he'd be vulnerable. But lets be real, he didnt get Aarons to play left back or back up.
He waited, and very deliberately took his his first opportunity to lay down the law in terms of do what I say or you're out, he's backed it up with selection, he's kept the dropped players in the fold and brought them on later on, and will hope that he can use the next weeks to determine who of them just needs to go (like he did, under Farke lol) and who can adapt
