Interesting. I think they will.

Hockey (my main sport) is a more similar sport to football than tennis which relies on individual power and skill. In hockey women can play with men with increasing ability over the past 20 years. There are definitely players in the Spanish and English teams who could play conference currently so why not in the next decade could they improve with the extra funding and years more training/sports science etc.
