You have to admit that pants turns out to have been talking sense

Hargreaves doing the hod-carrier bit worked well and it freed the "creative" midfielders to get forward. Unfortunately Lampard has left his shooting boots behind so we need to drop him and put Gerrard back in. (Not that Sven will.)

It seems clear that Sven only took 4 strikers because he's relying on the midfielders to score.
