It’s a good point, mate.

I’ve had Ghanaian friends and colleagues over the years and something I’ve observed is how deeply important their shared cultural background can be regardless of whether they were born in Ghana or the US. They had much common ground, especially their experience of upbringing (strict parenting) and cultural events, family customs etc.

It’s obviously true of most cultural groups, but perhaps even more elevated with Ghanaian heritage. It’s a wonderful country with a lot to be proud of too.
