I don’t want to get into anti-cyclist bingo but if you look at the state of the majority o

f cycling infrastructure in this country most is not fit for purpose.

Poorly constructed, tree roots, broken glass, vegetation, debris etc. A lot of it shared with pedestrians who tend to wander across both lanes, sometimes on headphones or just oblivious.

Most of it isn’t joined up, you have to give way at every junction so sometimes it’s easier (if not necessarily safer) to stick to the road. Why do drivers use A roads when sometimes it runs parallel to a motorway?
