If we are going to have a really honest conversation about this immigration needs to be mentioned - many millions have arrived in the UK in the post 2002 period and all need somewhere to live.
Not enough new housing has been created to accommodate and we have seen huge increases in property values and rental levels as more people chase a limited supply.
