We also don't really know that. I believe the message was that

during the two years since the war started, the economy has been boosted due to activation of previously unused resources (presumably the massive scale up of military industry although not sure). However, those benefits are now running out, and there is now the threat of a recession.

It read to me that they are back at the point they were before the start of the war, but that didn't stop them back then so my feeling is that it would take a while before they get to the point of being financially crippled.
