I concluded it's a film at heart about convincing a jury. The truth won't matter if you can.
Things i liked though, scenarios in the film had witnesses or proof. The testimony at the end had no witnesses but swung the jury.
The dead victim had a lot of recorded evidence of abuse. But various things in his life are not conpleted. His writing isn't complete. Parts of the house unfinished.
Yet she can work and finish projects. But she left Germany to live in France so is his narrative of abuse orchestrated?
But then it's confirned she has had an affair and flirts heavilly with more than one person in the film.
The kids testimony points towards him being a future writer and creatively talented. Has he safeguarded his future with the testimony keeping him with the parent he has left?
But he also tries the asprin thing with the dog so he might be telling the truth....
So many scenarios contradicting whichever route you take.
Brilliant film.
