Always Poo-pooing Broadcasters

Load of moany-faced old bastards on here!

I don't listen to much 6M these days but catch bits here and there and don't mind whoever's presenting.

I didn't know Nick Grimshaw from Oldham had been promoted to the 6M breakfast league though. Always found him too self-involved on R1 and too much of a scenester over being enough of a muso for 6M. I'm sure he's matured since then though. I found those adverts for his podcast with Annie Mac annoying though.

Back in the day when I would actually listen to 6M breakfast regularly I enjoyed Shaun Keaveny, so stick that in your subjective pipes and smoke it.

In my 'ahh good, they're on' roster of great djs currently on 6M are:-
Craig Charles (preferably for his Funk and Soul Show rather than stand-in for someone else's slot)
Guy Garvey
Huey Morgan
Gilles Peterson
Iggy Pop

Michael Kiwanuka is also on that stand-in list but i've never caught him on there but do love his stuff.

I can imagine it'd be nice to listen to Bill Nighy's voice on the radio but i dunno where his head is at, musically.

There have been some great club-based djs i've caught bits of sets from in recent years, but am unsure whether that was Afrodeutsche off their main roster or DJ Paulette off their stand-ins or someone else. Actually, looking again it was quite possibly Jayda G off the stand-ins. I'm pretty sure Jamz Supernova off their mains has had some good shows in this vein too.
