Snowdon update

Well we didn't make it to the top. The weather came in much worse than forecast, it was horrendous. Torrential rain and wind. We got to a point and they gave us a choice of smaller more sheltered but different summit or carry on and try to get to Snowdon summit. Majority of the group said try to get to the summit . But we got so far through the difficult zig zig climb bit and it was awful. Struggled to see with rain blowing in your face. Someone radioed down and it was 60mph at summit and too dangerous so they said no we have to turn back. We were gutted but it really was bad. We heard they had to get mountain rescue out because people were blown off their feet so the guides made the only they choice they could. We did still walk over 9 miles to around 1900ft in very testing conditions! We are absolutely gutted that we couldn't achieve what we set out to, through no fault of our own, but we had to put our safety first. We will have to try again, we are determined to come back and complete what we were sponsored to do. Thank you again for all your sponsorship and kind words of support, it means a lot to us.

Oh and cheese and ham baguette for lunch and a flapjack. Now washing down with a vodka.
