It was a HOOOOOOOOOOOOOGE hit in Europe (much bigger than it was here)

It came to Ingerlund after Arsenal played Paris St Germain in Paris. The whole stadium was droning endlessly "Allez, Paris St Germain" to the tune of Go West. When the Gooners eventually scored, they picked up the tune and "one nil to the Arsenal" was born. As soon as they scored in their next Highbury game, those who had been in Paris started it up.

Anyway, on ze Continent it's v much a footy anthem
