I don’t know much about Manning so thought I would see

why knapper was attracted to him.

First and foremost for me are that his win percentages at the clubs he’s been at suggest he will secure a play off spot for us. Bristol is the club he’s got the lowest win percentage at but the sample size is larger than his other clubs and he obviously has achieved 6th with them.

Some would say the fact he has never stayed in any one job that long is a negative, however he has only been sacked once and all the other moves appear to be in an upward trajectory which suggests he performs well. If a bigger team than us wants to pinch him I would guess it means we are finishing top 6 at least.

He obviously has a track record with young players, fits knappers desired age bracket and style of play.

Not comprehensive I know but my ‘back of a fag packet’ 1/2 hour analysis has given me a bit of optimism.
I also don’t care what team he supports because I very much doubt he is willing to sabotage his career just so he can have a short lived laugh with some mates!
