Do any of us see that happening?

Last season I think we sold for 63m quid (rowe’s not immediate but still would be budgeted).

Knapper brought in some journeyman makeweights, a bunch of loans, some good and some awful, and a whole host of youngsters who were announced as highly talented but still needing to be developed (since knapper runs the transfers this makes it even more understandable that JHT was of the belief that it was a project rather than immediate top 6).

He also let go experienced players to reduce the wage bill (Giannoulis, McCallum, Hanley, Barnes, Fassnacht, Gibson) most of whom needed to go but without having replaced them in terms of leadership.

He also failed to buy us a true number 9, let alone the two we needed, and rather than replace the awful backup keeper, he gives him a 5 year contract and then releases the #1.

The result of this is that at the moment we don’t have saleable assets, so it’s unlikely we will have as much money to spend this year as last (and if we do we will have no strikers at all).


So regardless of manager, does anybody have any confidence at all that NCFC will improve next season with Knapper in charge?
