It gets overly focused on when teams aren't doing well, imo.
I don't think any sporting director has that rigid a ideology on how football should be played.
All I've ever seen from Knapper is he likes "attacking, proactive football where teams try and control the game with the ball". That describes a very broad range of different styles. I think we'd all say we liked that style of football, XXL maybe the exception and we all know how that ended up.
I'd be concerned if we appointed Ljinders, but I also think it's very unlikely, so I'm not worried about it.
