i dunno if this is still true

but 10 yrs ago or so the difference between the spanish and italian leagues was that the spanish leagues were pretty much like we are now, the top teams get a f**k load and the rest get very little. in italy its far more sidespread. but the conequences of that were more elite teams for spain in the champs and in italy they struggled moreso. and ok this year has maybe been an exception or they may have changed directly becasue of this. and maybe thats why we have done so weell in european competitions over that last 10 yrs or so.
