We lack the players to execute that and even if we accrued same and went up we would be Southamptoned in the Prem trying it.
We need someone with pragmatism, the ability to develop players and the willingness to do what it takes over philosophical preferences.
We need to start by thinking if we went up what would we do to give ourselves the best chance of staying up. Spoiler: playing 4-3-3 and playing ponderously out from the back would not feature in any realistic version of that. Instead we need to have a system that gives us at least a shout up there and start playing it now to embed it. Thatโs not a Russell Martin shaped role.
