Strangely I remember them all pretty well

Not sure why that should be, it was a chaotic old season but I kind of enjoyed it. Maybe it was the quantity of new players and the slight possibility of them being good…

Mohamed Camara - not too bad, had an amusing tantrum one game for getting booked (?)
John Hartson - great game v them
Maceo Rigters - no way, not him??? was the reaction of some, but he was clearly injured into premature retirement
Martin Taylor - very good, injured
David Strihavka - I thought he was ok, Roeder didn’t
Matthew Bates - pretty anonymous but competent
Jimmy Smith - much potential, it was claimed, we didn’t see any of it
Alex Pearce - good
Ryan Bertrand - two seasons, that’s as long as a lot of permanent signings
James Henry - decent crosses, good winger
Kieran Gibbs - another one that stayed a long time, but was he a left back or midfielder? Endless Wrath debate
Ched Evans - I didn’t think he was any better than a lower league striker, as has been the case for the post-prison career
