Think RM made his name with the Southampton promotion season (albeit the playoffs). Then the fans turned when they were soon found out in the Premiership. Saints next manager turned out to be worse, and tbf Van Nistelrooy was no improvement on Cooper.
Think basically my preference for RM over Cooper is style of play. I would rather look good in possession (however ineffective) and not play a more defensive long ball game. Just not our 'style'. I would prefer GO'N over both, and he does have better Premiership pedigree. Living on the edge of the West Mids I do not think there was anything wrong with his man management - though can't be denied how improved they were after he left. Portuguese players needing a Portuguese Manager? Bournemouth fans didn't want him out and feared the worse after he was sacked. The appointment of Ireola was inspirational though.
