my old man and his mate blagged their way into the 59 cup tie with spurs

pretty sure that's the game. anyway they didn't have tickets so hatched a plan to buy some spiral bound notebooks and pens or pencils from wh smith and blagged their way in as "press" and got front row seats. they were both up from london from their merchant navy officer school exams so were quite dapper, that must have helped. probably not get away with that these days.
