the most important games in each group are not the ones between the top two but the ones between the 2nd/3rd rated teams, because they are more likely determine who goes through and who doesn't.
Having the best teams meet last usually DECREASES the excitement value. I'd have really Argentina - Holland if it had been in the first round but now I'm not that bothered because both have already qualified. The same is virtually true for England-Sweden and Portugal-Mexico. Might have been interesting if played earlier in the competition but now I'm afraid they're not really...
