JW on the London marathon: “I strategically put my family on mile 22, when I really needed them. Mentally it’s tough. Particularly, when you get to halfway and you have to push through.”

JW on Emi Marcondes: "He is still feeling his back. He is a player with lots of quality. He won’t be available.”

JW on Ante Crnac: "He trained today, I will speak to the medical staff later about him.”

JW on Matej Jurasek: “It’s a massive step up coming to England, with the football and the attention from everyone like the media and fans. We are calm about it. We know his quality.”

*George Long was a selection decision last week to be left out of the squad*

JW on out of contract players: “When you’ve been at a club for a long time and leave it’s hard. I’ve experienced that. As a club we are really thankful for them.”

JW on out of contract trip: “We are going into the game going to win. I will try to get them on the pitch.”

JW on POTS awards: “When you think about this Norwich team it’s strength is going forward. Josh is a leader in the dressing room and a top professional.”

JW on Kellen Fisher: “The Fish, I love him. He’s played lots of different positions this season and has done what was asked of him. He’s got a big future because he works hard and is committed.”

JW on the full-time job: “They made it clear to me to see through these two games, then we can have a chat. Once this game is out the way then we will have a discussion.”

JW on the summer: “It’s probably why if Ben (Knapper) and the club can get it done quicker, they will be in a better position to assess the squad.”

JW: “I’ve built a relationship with the players and it’s helped me when stepping up to the interim head coach role.”

JW: “I again thank the staff for their help and getting behind me. We’ve changed a couple of things, but not everything as Johannes (Hoff Thorup) had some good things. It’s been a really good week, we’ve chased energy and enjoyment.”

JW on Cardiff: “The context of the game will help shape the game that we want. We will have to adapt to that. We want to be on the front foot and get them fans behind us. It’s been a tough season for the fans and we want to leave them excited for next season.”

JW on Cardiff: “We played Cardiff earlier in the season and I thought we were really good. Gabe Forsyth played in it. It’s a game we should have won, but they showed their quality at the end.”

JW on Aaron Ramsey: “I’ve got massive respect for Aaron. We shared some amazing memories together, he scored the winner in an FA Cup final. Fair play to him for taking this on (at Cardiff), he will have a good coaching career.”

JW on the season: “When I came in, I thought we were playing some good football. It’s been up and down since that moment. When we’ve had chances to kick on, we’ve fallen short. It’s about learning from those moments. The Boro performance showed the lads have developed.”
