Interesting story about that incident, actually ...

... After Zaire lost 9-0 to Yugoslavia (with the referee sending off the wrong player - incidentally the ref *should* have sent off Mwepu, the man you see booting the ball away there), the team apparently received a visit from the benevolent President Mobutu, who told them that another humilating defeat (i.e. by more than three goals) would have very serious repercussions for the players and (most likely) their families.

That moment comes when Zaire are 3-0 down with not long to play - it's Mwepu's idea of gamesmanship, trying to unsettle the Brazilian and stop him scoring. Most players would have just taken ages to retreat 10 yards - not this guy!

Credit to him, it worked (in a sense) - Brazil didn't score and the game ended 3-0 ...
