I'm so proud of my club. 10 years ago I made a decision to bring in some asylum seekers into the club. previously it was a club for wine brokers and gite owners. they didnt want the character of the club to change.

a couple of weeks ago we fielded a team which included 2 afghans, 2 pakistanis and an indian. They were all from the 'foyers' - refugees.

These players are now established in our club. And it was wonderful to see them bring their young families along.

Long live cricket I say.
